Our Facilities
Here at CoilÓg we boast some of Ireland's highest quality facilities. From all weather arenas to full professional kitchens, we can cater for any situation, however big or small. It is our promise to you that we will strive to achieve an ever expanding range of facilities, amenities and services. It is our aim to achieve an even greater level of facilities, aminities and services for you, our customer. In bringing our customers the ultimate equestrian experience, we place great importance in providing comfort and accessibility. CoilÓg prides itself on security, and with newly installed fully automatic electric gates and extensive CCTV systems installed throughout the grounds, your mind can be at ease.
Our facilities can be hired for public schooling, private hire, training, shows, dressage, polo-cross, showjumping, seminars, clinics or private demonstrations. We can provide corporate hospitality and catering.
 Chestnut Arena - This is a flood lit Indoor arena, measuring 70 x 25m with a premier cushion track jumping surface. It is our winter choice, as it has natural lighting backed up by full florescent lights. A modern P. A. system can be taken advantage of from its impressive judges box, and spectators can enjoy the views from the arena's side or the over-looking restaurant.
 Hornbeam Arena - This is an outdoor all weather arena. It is 72 x 50m in size with a premier cushion track jumping surface. It is situated beside the car park and has just received a new judges' box. Its large dimensions are perfect for the largest of shows. Its viewing bank is wheelchair accessible and has a wind shelter for those rough days.
 Ash Arena - This is our oldest arena and measures 30 x 53m. It is positioned in the heart of the grounds linking the Chestnut Arena to the old yard. It boasts a new premier cushion jumping surface alongside its original flood lights. Access can be gained through any of its 3 entrances.
 Oak Arena - This is our largest arena. It measures 175 x 90m and is an all weather grass arena. It is overlooked by a grass warm up area measuring 30 x 65m. This arena was built by Chris's own Kilmeague Landscape Services and utilises the most modern sports ground technology. The arena also contains two derby banks and has ample space for commercial stalls and advertisement stands. The Oak Arena has the benefit of its own independent judges' box which has an aerial view of the entire grounds.
 Lime Arena - Our newest arena is situated on the periphery of a horticultural nursery allowing it a wonderful setting. It measures to a competition size of 80 x 65m and is surrounded by a beautiful wooden boardwalk. With its two entrances and ample viewing area it will soon to be the centre of the establishment.
 Maple Arena - With some of the most beautiful views in Crosspatrick, this arena is the perfect place to warm up your animal before entering a competition. Overlooking the Lime Arena on a tiered bank this arena is joined to the rest of the grounds through the internal road network and is shouldered by the large Oak Arena. It is the perfect arena for competition dressage.
 Hawthorn Arena - This all weather warm-up arena measures in at 60x20m. It is strategically placed above the Oak Arena to allow a beautiful view of the entire grounds.
 Entries Office - In its final stages of construction, when finished this will be our newest edition to CoilÓg Equestrian Centre. This spacious wooden cabin is the ideal entries office. It is positioned at the foot of the Oak Arena making it accessible to all. Fully furnished and heated to keep you comfortable on those cold winter mornings, this entries office is one of a kind and also doubles as a lecture room, with internet access and projectors.
 Horse Walker - Our automatic horse walker is set in front of the Chestnut Arena and is incased in a mature Carpinus hedge. It provides a secure and affective alternative method of exercise for you precious animal.
 Lunging Arena - This circular sand arena is the perfect place to lunge your horse in private. It is nested to the side of the Chestnut Arena behind the Horse Walker. Fully contained in a stud rail fence, this is a secure and ideal area for exercise.
 Coilóg’s Arena Café - CoilÓg boasts a fully functional, professional kitchen and restaurant. It can cater for all occasions and events, whether it is corporate entertainment or a private gathering you are after. CoilÓg can cater to your every need. The restaurant provides full hot and cold meals as well as tasty goodies and hot and cold drinks for the winter evenings.
When events are organised by other organisations but held at CoilÓg, the catering facilities can be provided on request.
 Open Air Coffee Deck - This decking provides the perfect viewing platform for the Oak Arena. To increase its popularity it is joined with our outstanding restaurant. It is a large wooden two tiered deck, which is wheelchair accessible. For the winter months the decking can be covered with a superior marquee
Lecture Room - A warm and spacious lecture room with an overhead projector and ample seating and desks. Laptop computers can also be provided to improve you experience. of lecturing at CoilÓg.
Timing Equipment - We strive to keep on top of modern technology and in doing so we have invested in the best of timing equipment. Suitable for your every need, this system can be used in any of our many arenas.
Toiletry/Sanitary Facilities - These include changing facilities, toilets and showers. They are kept to the highest standard and are all wheelchair accessible
DIY livery service inclusive of all facilities. Horse transport can also be provided by arrangement for your convenience.
 Ample floodlit car/truck/horse box parking, surrounded by quality tarmac roadways.
Fantastic hacking facilities in the surrounding areas which encompass the grand canal and Ballyteague forest.
Qualified National course Builder Chris Byrne (BHSAI) available to provide SJ courses for competition.
Tack & Feed Rooms - Our tack and feed rooms are among the securest in the country with reinforced concrete poured ceilings, steel plated doors and solid walls. We ensure our feed and tack room are vermin proof to keep your expensive tack and horse feed just for your horse!
Washing Bay - A three walled horse washing bay can be utilised from the old yard to keep your horse clean and cool after exercising. |
